AATE Members receive complimentary subscriptions to the following publications with their annual membership dues:

Stage of the Art:

Stage of the Art has been discontinued; however, back issues are available from the AATE Office.

Look for our new magazine, Incite/Insight, which will debut in February 2009!

Youth Theatre Journal:

Youth Theatre Journal: The Scholarly Journal of the American Alliance for Theatre & Education is a juried publication, dedicated to advancing the study and practice of theatre and drama with, for, and by people of all ages. It is concerned with all forms of scholarship of the highest quality that inform the fields of theatre for young audiences and drama/theatre education.

Volume 22 will be published and distributed to the AATE membership in late fall 2008. Back issues of Youth Theatre Journal may be ordered from the AATE Office.

The call for submissions for Volume 23, 2009 can be found here or downloaded here. The deadline for submissions is October 1, 2008.

AATE is in the process of of posting back issues of Youth Theatre Journal online in order to increase accessibility for those in the field. If you or a colleague have had an article published in Youth Theatre Journal, two release forms must be completed and returned to the AATE Office. The first (a .doc file) can be downloaded here, the second (a .pdf file) here.

AATE Dialogue:

The November 2007 Issue of the AATE Dialogue, The American Alliance for Theatre & Education Newsletter, is now available to members. If you are a current member and did not receive a copy in the mail, please let us know. Visit the For Members section of the website to view the most recent newsletter.

The next issue of the Dialogue will be available in April 2008. If you have information you would like to submit for consideration for an issue of the Dialogue, please contact our Communications Director. All content is subject to Board approval.

Advertising in AATE Publications

AATE accepts advertising from approved vendors in all three publications. For more information, download our spec sheet or contact the AATE Office. To submit advertising for our next issue, please complete an advertising request form and submit it to the AATE Office via fax, mail or email. Please follow up on your submission to verify receipt and to clarify the anticipated print dates of our next publications.
