AATE State Representatives

Are you interested in volunteering to be an AATE State Representative? Download a State Reps Interest Form and submit the completed form to the AATE Office by email, fax or mail.

Find out who currently represents your state for AATE.

What does a State Rep do?

AATE asks the following of its State Representatives:

  • Communicate with AATE members in your state four times per year (once per quarter).  The AATE main office will send you contact information so that you are able to connect to your state membership via email, newsletter, meetings, or whatever you prefer.
  • Communicate with the AATE main office four times per year (once per quarter) and report local and regional events, member needs, and accomplishments in your state.  You can contact the main office via email or phone; contact information is listed at the end of this letter.

We also provide a list of other suggested activities and projects that interested State Reps can choose to implement in their areas, but we recognize that these projects are additional time commitments, and they are purely optional. Stay tuned for an online list of these recommended activities, as well as highlights from the work of our currently active state reps!

More about the State Reps program:

The State Rep program is managed by a State Rep Coordinator.  Our current coordinator is Adil Mansoor. Adil is a Northwestern University student, and a motivated leader with exciting projects he would like to implement with our State Reps, depending on individual availability.

Like other AATE leadership positions, the State Representative is a volunteer position. As a token of our appreciation of the work our State Reps do to promote AATE in their states and to encourage them to be involved in their statewide theatre organizations, AATE offers up to $50 in reimbursement for state and regional conference registration fees.

We are currently working to expand our State Reps pages on the AATE website.  We hope to provide a space for State Reps to communicate with their state memberships and the entire AATE community, by posting information about state and regional conferences, state curriculum developments, or other important events.

Current State Reps:

Thank you for all of the wonderful work that you do! We are ready to add information to individual state pages, so please send information you would like posted to the office at info@aate.com with subject line: STATE REPS WEBSITE.

Our national voice can only remain strong with the local knowledge our State Reps bring to our organization!

Please contact the Main Office for additional information.
